Membership criteria

Membership in AAUW Citrus Heights American River Branch (CHAR) brings you the opportunity to advocate for women in education, work, and the world, to keep on learning, to support education, and to perform research that supports women. See examples on this web site and ask Lbattershe@aol.com.



Membership Eligibility:


The Citrus Heights American River Branch continually welcomes new members.

Membership is open to a graduate holding an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate, or higher degree from a qualified educational institution, a degree from a foreign institution recognized by IFUW, or a foreign degree acceptable as a basis for admission by graduate schools at qualified universities in the United States.

An undergraduate student enrolled in a qualified educational institution is eligible for student affiliation and an undergraduate who is a member of an AAUW student group.


In principle and in practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barrier to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or class.
